The BBB serving Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia has become aware that a fraudster is telephoning BBB members with the following scam scenario:
1) State that they represent the BBB
2) Because businesses are experiencing economic difficulty;
3) the BBB is offering a one one time life time membership fee;
4) The amount is $1,000 +
5) Mail the check to an address in Atlanta
